About two-thirds of all copper produced is used in electrical applications, including wiring, due to its excellent electrical conductivity. Other main uses of copper are piping, heating and air conditioning, and industrial valves and fittings. Copper can be recycled without loss of quality and is the third recycled metal after iron and aluminum.
